The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis has developed software which allows an ordinary cell phone to display Ultrasound data fed to it from a portable USB Ultrasound device.
This important advancement will make it possible for Ultrasound technology to be brought into remote areas where it is currently unavailable.
