![THAT’S RACIST of the Day: Universal Pictures has apparently retreated from the idea of racial equality, having made the decision to release a de-ethnicized UK version of the Couples Retreat poster sans African-American actors Faizon Love and Kali Hawk.
When asked to explain the reasoning behind the blackout, a Universal spokesman replied that aim was “to simplify the poster to actors who are most recognisable in international markets.”
Universal has since apologized for the photoshop disaster and will not include the revised poster among its international marketing materials going forward.
